Birth control is often a very personal choice for a woman. We offer a wide variety of birth control methods, including natural family planning, oral contraceptives, Depoprovera, and intrauterine devices. We also can perform permanent sterilization (see Permanent Sterilization Essure).

 

Dr. Beier describes birth control choices:

"When I see a patient in the office, a decision on birth control can be a very difficult one. Often, a patient has concerns about previous problems with contraception or the possibility of side effects and complications with a new form of contraception. I take the time to discuss and educate the patient and find the best choice for her. I then monitor the patient's progress to ensure that she is happy with her decision. Our office does offer many choices, so it is rare that I cannot find a suitable method of contraception."
